United Fund Applications Due May 31

Applications for Columbus United Fund support for non-profit organizations serving the Columbus Junction and Letts areas may be submitted during May. The application can be found online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/L6KSXW3. If assistance is needed completing the online application please contact the Community Development Center in Columbus Junction.

Each year Columbus United Fund collects over $20,000 locally from residents, businesses and organizations; the largest donor group is Tyson team members. Money is distributed once a year in the summer to local organizations who serve a variety of interests including safety, literacy, arts, health care and sports.

E-WASTE ITEMS WILL REQUIRE A TAG WHICH CAN BE PURCHASED AT CITY HALL. TAG PRICES ARE AS FOLLOWS;

ALL TV’S $15.00

COMPUTER MONITORS $10.00

ALL OTHER E-WASTE ITEMS SUCH AS PRINTERS, FAX MACHINES, VCRS, DVD PLAYERS, VIDEO GAME CONSOLES, SERVERS, SCANNERS, CONVERTER BOXES, CABLE RECIEVERS ETC. $2.00

APPLIANCES REQUIRE A $15.00 TAG. NO APPLICANCE WILL BE TAKEN WITHOUT A TAG.

SEPARATE ITEMS SUCH AS: METAL, APPLIANCES, FURNITURE, E-WASTE ITEMS.

WE WILL NOT PICK UP: TIRES, BATTERIES, PAINT, PAINT CANS, HAZARDOUS MATERIALS, CHEMICALS, SPRAY CANS, WINDOWS. OR ANY GLASS ITEMS.
