Glass will no longer be recycled-but everything else will be, and there’s no need for you to sort it into individual containers any longer! Hewitt Sanitary Services will now take unsorted recycling to the City Carton Sorting Center, where it will be sorted on site, saving you time! Jugs, jars, and bottles should still be rinsed, labels removed, and they should be flattened, as should cardboard boxes. Reuse your glass if possible-otherwise, throw it in the garbage. Oil jugs are also not accepted. Plastic film, such as grocery bags or bubble wrap, should not be thrown in the recycling either, but Economart does accept plastic bags to recycle at no cost to you.
